The Greene County baseball team got two games in last week, losing both. Weather was not friendly to the Rams, causing scheduling problems.
On Tuesday, the Rams hosted Winterset, falling 11-1 in six innings. Brayden Roberts hit the only Greene County double of the night, one of eight hits from the Rams. On the field, there were six errors and 15 putouts from the Rams.
Kole Teeples and Matthew Hovick shared time on the pitcher’s mound. Teeples allowed six hits, with one walk, one hit batter, and two strikeouts. Hovick allowed two hits, one walk and one strikeout.
The Rams traveled to Nevada on Wednesday, picking up a second loss, this time 4-1. Bryce Stalder hit a double, with Max Riley, Roberts, Hovick and Joe Carey hitting a single each. Stalder pitched for the Rams, with eight hits, one walk and two hit batters. He struck out 11 batters.
